Springing Forward

Fairfax Academy,

We want to start off this week's message with a huge shout out to our World Language students who participated in the Cultural Celebration at FHS on Friday. It was great to see the students back onstage and sharing their backgrounds with peers, staff and the community! Stay tuned for some photos being shared on our social media in the coming days.

We are excited to announce that Spotlight on the Arts and ArtsFairfax are offering two scholarships this year for our music and dance students pursuing a degree in those disciplines. Last year's music panel was blown away by the submissions that we are able to expand our offerings this year. Please see below for details and contact me with any questions.

Please note that you might hear a new voice when you call the office. Our beloved Mrs. Cate is joining the Fairfax High staff as the Principal's AA. We will miss her dearly, but are thrilled that she'll still be part of our community.

We look forward to these last two weeks before Spring Break. A reminder that March 31 is an early release day (only AM block shuttles will be running).

All the best,

Mrs. Cook
