Important Information For Boys Basketball State Championship @ VCU

IMPORTANT INFORMATON FOR THE VHSL STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP:

HAWK NATION!

Our Varsity Boys Basketball Team will be playing the VHSL Class 6 State Championship on Friday March 11, 2022, at the Siegel Center on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.  Game time is 2:30 pm.

This is a VHSL Event, and we need to make sure we are following the procedures they have in place.

Per University policy, fans are required to wear a face mask while attending games at VCU Athletic facilities at all times, except when actively eating or drinking in their seats.  Fans will not be permitted to enter games without a face mask.

ALL TICKETS ARE $10.00 AND MUST BE PURCAHSED ONLINE.

Children six years or younger are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.  No seats are reserved. 

Fans who exit the Siegel Center will be required to purchase a new on-line ticket to re-enter. 

 

ADDITIONAL VHSL STATE TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of our guests, participants, and staff, the following security measures will be in place at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. ALL ENTRANTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SECURITY SCREENING! ALL FANS WILL BE EXPECTED TO WEAR A MASK, EXCEPT WHEN ACTIVELY EATING OR DRINKING.

SPECTATOR SEATING -- The Site Director shall designate the areas for spectator seating for games at the Siegel Center.  Spectators are encouraged to sit in the designated areas.  Individuals in end zone seats will be permitted to stand throughout the game.

At no point are spectators allowed on the floor.

Spirit Buses:

At this point we have reserved two Spirit Buses for our students.  If you are interested in riding the bus, you must stop by the Student Activities Office to pick up your permission slip.

Permission Slips, $5.00, cell phone number and proof of a ticket need to be provided to Student Activities no later than Thursday March 10th @ 9:00 am.

The first 100 students that meet all of the requirements will be allowed on the Spirit Buses.

Stop by Student Activites and get your permission slip ASAP.

If you ride the bus to Richmond, you must ride the bus back to Hayfield.  If not, you will face disciplinary actions.

All students attending the game will have to follow the procedures established by the VHSL.

We want as many HAWKS as possible to attend the game, but the Spirit Buses are for high school students only.  Middle school students will have to make other arrangements.
