Did You Know...
Social Media can be used to bring friends together but also creates anxiety, social isolation, and fear of missing out (FOMO). Taking a break from social media can be good for mental health and over all wellbeing. Here is an article on ways to take a break from social media.
Career Pathways Study
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has partnered with FourPoint Education Partners, a national consultancy based in Maryland, to assess our current pathway elective courses and career pathway programs. Our middle and high school students will be receiving an email inviting them to participate in a brief survey. The email will be sent to their school email address and will be coming from Naviance with a subject titled: Student Survey Pathways Study. Participation in the survey is optional. Students will have the opportunity to complete this survey during 3rd period on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
In addition, our middle and high school parents will have an opportunity to provide feedback. More information will follow soon.

FCPS Superintendent Dr. Braband Q & A
March 9, 2022 @ 7:00 - FCPS Superintendent Dr. Brabrand Q&A with Fairfax County Students. This is an opportunity for our students to ask question of the Superintendent. Students rarely get an opportunity to ask questions of general education policy and their perspectives can be both interesting and valuable. Event is scheduled to be in-person at the McLean Community Center. Registration is not required. Please see the McLean Community Center website for the latest Covid policy.
Drop Everything and Read
Drop Everything and Read On March 10 during Langley Links!
On Thursday, March 10, the whole school will participate in “Drop Everything And Read” (also known as DEAR) during Langley Links. The Langley HS community (adults and students) will turn off our screens and read for 25 minutes. Please talk with your child about what they plan to read, and remind them to bring something to read on March 10 – a magazine, newspaper, novel, graphic novel, even a school text.

Langley Pyramid Art Show
Our visual arts teachers and students have been working hard to put together an in-person art show. The show will run through March 14, and the gallery hours are Tuesdays through Fridays 1-4 pm, and Saturdays 10 am – 3 pm. Come marvel at the creativity, and celebrate young artists and their teachers! Details are here.

Is your child missing a jacket, sweatshirt, lunchbox and/or water bottle? It may be in Langley’s very large lost & found collection. Please have your child stop by the lost and found bins located in the cafeteria.
