WAKEFIELD FOREST ES WEEKLY MESSAGE

Strings

Fifth grade Strings students performed a mini-concert for fourth grade students on a recent warm day.

Dear Wakefield Forest Families,

We are all excited about the warming weather. We anticipate starting to eat outside next week. Eating outside will be weather dependent. We are grateful to the Wakefield Chapel Pool for lending us tables to accommodate all of our students outdoors.

There continues to be a lot of activity on our grounds as we prepare for our upcoming renovation. Renovation will begin this June. We anticipate presenting information on next steps with the renovation at our May PTA meeting. We will share additional information as the time approaches. Overview information on timeline and budget for all FCPS projects can be found here: FCPS Capital Improvement Program (CIP)

Last Thursday, Diana Grossman, Jessica Yaman, Julia Ruskin, Alicia Stahl, Stacy Pekarik, Susan Ely, Tony Gray and Betsy Gross delivered yard signs to our 6th grade students. We are so proud of their seven years of hard work and look forward to celebrating them in June as they move on to middle school. We are still in the planning stage for sixth grade Promotion. At this time we are planning for Monday, June 6 at 9:00 AM at Woodson HS auditorium.

Thank you,

Sharyn Prindle

Principal
