Student STEAM Club Promotes Robotics with Elementary Students
Future STEAM Leaders Alliance, a student club at Chantilly Academy strives to promote STEAM to all students through interactive activities. The students in the club have been collaborating throughout the year with faculty at Greenbriar East Elementary School to provide specific activities to teach young students all about robotics. The club members planned, purchased, and executed hands-on, workshop style activities for the elementary students.
   Cadet Aiden Walters-Smith (pictured on the right) is the grandson of a US Marine who served in Vietnam; the grandfather’s name is Corporal Glen Newman. Airforce Junior ROTC cadets were honored to be asked to refold Corporal Newman’s funeral flag to place in a shadow box for display in the family home.
