Opportunity to Apply for School Board Student Representative
Each year, in accordance with FCPS Policy 1802, FCPS students have the opportunity to apply for the position of the student representative to the School Board. The student representative is not a member of the School Board but serves in a nonvoting, advisory capacity, representing the interests of the students of Fairfax County Public Schools.
Students who are currently in grades 9, 10, and 11 are eligible to apply, and they do not need to be current members of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SAC).
Applications are due March 23, 2022. The application and related details can be found at Student Representative to the School Board: https://www.fcps.edu/blog/application-2022-student-representative-school-board

Academic Advising Continues
School Counselors are excited to have the opportunity to meet individually this year! Please note that students will be meeting one on one with their Counselor and will NOT need to reach out directly to schedule a time to meet. The schedule for each grade level is shown below. If students have taken a course like HPE over the summer or are not currently enrolled in the course (not to worry) Counselors will still find time to meet with students during that scheduled time frame.
Rising 10 Academic Advising: February 22nd—March 3 through HPE 9
Helpful Links to Prepare for the Meeting
-Course selection sheet
-Course catalog for descriptions
-Virtual Electives Fair website for short videos of Robinson offerings
-Core class comparisons
Rising 11th or 12th grade students on track for the IB diploma should be meeting with IB Diploma Coordinators, Ms. Vu and Ms. Cho, prior to their academic advising window.
Note: Students may make changes to their course selections until March 11th – after this date, course request changes will only be made on a space-available basis. If students wish to be registered for a “closed” course after March 11th, they will be placed on a waitlist. All requests for changes to course selections must be made before June 10th, 2022.
Attendance Information can also be found on the Robinson Attendance website at https://robinsonss.fcps.edu/about/attendance
