Education & Training Pathway at Chantilly Academy
The feature for this week during National CTE Month is our Air Force Junior ROTC program and Teachers for Tomorrow program---both part of our Education and Training Program Pathway.
Air Force Junior ROTC students become cadets that learn to be communicators, collaborators, ethical and global citizens, creative and critical thinkers, and goal-directed and resilient individuals.
Over the years, our program has distinguished itself in formal reviews, competitions, education, and leadership development for our cadets. Students who successfully complete the AFJROTC program are eligible for ROTC scholarships, appointments to military academies, and higher pay eligibility for those enlisting in the military.
Teachers for Tomorrow is an approved Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) program offered to high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in education. The program is designed to attract high school students to the field of education through exposure to a world-class curriculum and hands-on experience that focuses on teaching. Fairfax County Public Schools offers an annual Back2Fairfax Teacher Seminar: Growing Our Future Teachers- a special event for FCPS Juniors, Seniors, Graduates, and Teachers for Tomorrow filled with networking opportunities and FCPS employment information.
