Dear Coates Families,
Did you know we have access to computer programs that will help your child learn in a systematic way? ST Math and Imagine Learning are two programs that will help move your child in Math and Language Arts. Your child would benefit from using these programs 20 minutes per night. They know how to access both programs on their provided laptops. Please consider adding this into your child’s routine.

Our orientation is coming next week! Please join us on Friday, March 1, 1-4 pm for our in-person orientation with a virtual option. If you come in person, registration will begin at 1pm followed by a presentation from the kindergarten and admin team at 2 pm. If you want to attend virtually, please join us at this link at 2 pm to attend our presentation online. If you attend in person, please bring your rising kindergartener to experience some kindergarten activities in a kindergarten classroom.
Do you know a neighbor with a rising kindergartner, or a family with a rising first grader who isn't attending Coates yet? Please encourage them to register on our website ASAP so we have accurate numbers for staffing our classes for next year!

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at Coates. |
March:
- 3rd-2-hour early release, dismissal at 2:00pm
- 4th-No School
- 14th-25th-Coates online book fair
- 31st-End of 3rd quarter-2-hour early release, dismissal at 2:00pm
April:
- 1st- Teacher Workday / No School for students
- 4th- 8th- Spring Break / No School for students
