5.  Recent Student Successes

This is the next installment for the school year of what has become a weekly segment aimed at recognizing students for demonstrating recent improvement or achievement in academics, behavior or citizenship. At the end of each recognition, you will see the name of the nominating teacher or staff member. On a rotating basis, departments will nominate students.  I meet with recognized students each week to congratulate them in person.

  • Retal Emara moved to Virginia from Egypt and has quickly established herself as a serious, hard-working Charger. She knows the value of education and is steadfast in her determination to challenge herself as much as possible. She is an academic leader in Biology, and I am so thankful for the strong example she sets for others. Chantilly is lucky to have Retal as a student!  Ms. Anne Crismon
  • Aidan Perry has done a great job this year in all of his classes, he is working hard. Keep up the great work Aidan, I am proud of you!  Ms. Clonts
  • Samarra Rodriguez created and presented an amazing presentation on the History of Hip Hop, which is one of the events that the Black Student Association hosted for Black History Month.  Mr. Dwayne Peyton
  • Siddanth Vinay was my only Honors Biology student to opt into participating in the Science Fair, taking on all of the extra independent work. His hard work paid off as he not only won a first-place award but was also nominated to go to regionals.  Ms. Christine Gamache
