 Read Across America 2022
Read Across America is the nation’s largest celebration of reading. At Mosaic Elementary, we will be celebrating February 28 through March 4 with a week of fun dress out days! We would love to see our Mustangs join in the fun by dressing to match each day's theme.
Monday, February 28 - Sports Day! Dress like an athlete or wear your favorite team's colors.
Tuesday, March 1 - Silly Mismatch Day! Wear a silly outfit that doesn't match.
Wednesday, March 2 - Pajama Day! (no slippers, please)
Thursday, March 3 - Storybook Character Day! Dress like a character from a favorite story.
Friday, March 4 - Read At Home Day!
 Historical Marker Project
The Fairfax County School Board and the Board of Supervisors invites all K-12 students (public, private and homeschooled), classrooms and community youth groups in Fairfax County to participate in the initial Historical Marker Project. Students can submit suggested topics for the Historical Markers that commemorate an event, person, or location of historical significance within Fairfax County.
Submission Deadline: March 31, 2022

Digital Citizenship Tips and Advice for Families
"When kids start to go online, whether they're playing multiplayer games, using educational apps, or just following their curiosity on Google, it's important that they understand the basics of online privacy and safety. With some general guidelines around what information is and isn't OK to share, and some help from parents when they're unsure, kids can have fun and learn a lot in the digital world."
