2022-2023 Kindergarten |
If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2022 he/she is eligible for Kindergarten 2022-2023. Please contact our Registrar to begin the enrollment process.
If any of your neighbors have children who will be eligible for Kindergarten, please have them contact the school, as we are especially interested in reaching those Deer Park families who do not have children currently attending school.
COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic coming to Deer Park tomorrow!
We are excited to host the Fairfax County Health Department's free COVID vaccine clinic for children 5 and older. Initial vaccines as well as booster shots will be available. Preregistration is NOT required and all vaccines will be FREE. Participation is completely voluntary and open to all children in the community.
Tomorrow, February 11th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

March 11th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

National School Counseling Week (Feb. 7-11)
National School Counseling Week 2022 is Feb. 7-11, 2022, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February. We are grateful for Ms. Cottrell and Ms. Connelly, our school counselors!

Girl Scouts Nation's Capital is hosting a Spring Break day camp!
Camp Primavera is a community based camp running this spring break for girls in grades K-5 who are not currently Girl Scouts.
When: April 4-7, 2022
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Virtual Winter Dance/Danza de invierno virtual |
February 18 the PTA will be hosting a Virtual Dance to celebrate the Olympics! Bach 2 Rock will be DJing and we’ll have fun games to play too! Wear Olympics colors, blue, red, green, black, or gold and come dance with us! PK-2nd grade 6-6:45pm, 3rd-6th grade 7-8pm. Please RSVP (according to grade) to receive your Zoom link.

Our goal for this Book Drive is to give every student the opportunity to take home a free book during our Spring Book Fair. We are looking for Pre-K - 6th grade books with emphasis on 3-6 grade levels, including books in foreign languages and young adult novels.

Clothing and Household Items Drive/Recogida de ropa y enseres domésticos
Start that Spring Cleaning early, the PTA will be holding a FUNDrive clothing and household items fundraising drive the week of March 14-19. We are collecting clothes, household textiles, and small household goods. Clothes and textiles should be tall kitchen or plastic yard bags and small household goods should be tightly packed in boxes. Tell your neighbors the more the merrier. The PTA receives money based on how many pounds are donated. If you have a box truck or large moving truck to help with drop off on March 19th in the afternoon please email the PTA at: pta.deerparkes@gmail.com or Jenni at airmetjen13@hotmail.com.
