Covid-19 Positive protocol for students
Students who test positive for Covid -19 will be paused from attending school in person for 10 days. The FCPS policy for students who test positive for Covid-19 is different from the current CDC guidelines because FCPS is not able to maintain 6feet social distancing among students and operate at full capacity. If your child tests positive for Covid-19, please notify the main office and your child’s teacher.

Elimination of Return to School Guidance for Exposures Outside of FCPS Flowchart
The “Return to School Guidance for Exposures Outside of FCPS” flowchart and the accompanying letters are retired.
Effective, Monday, January 10, FCPS will no longer provide case management for the following:
- Students exposed to COVID-19 outside of FCPS schools/school activities
When a student is identified as a close contact to a COVID-19 exposure in the community (i.e. not associated with a school-related case), students are recommended to adhere to the CDC guidance for quarantine, as appropriate. These students are not required to submit documentation to their school to resume in-person activities. If parents/guardians have questions regarding quarantine they can access the Fairfax County Health Department COVID-19 webpage or the FCPS Health and Safety Document.
Staff who have been exposed to COVID-19 outside of FCPS should be directed to contact Human Resources at PMCC@fcps.edu.

Positivity Project:
Supporting Other People When They Need It
|
.
What is Supporting Other People?
Supporting other people when they struggle shows our humanity. There are many different approaches to helping people who are struggling. These can include:
- listening while they describe an event and their feelings about it
- taking action to help people in need
- simply just being there and sitting together in silence
Why is it important?
Everyone faces tough days and need support. Our being generous with giving this support can make us feel good about ourselves and most importantly the people we care about the most.
Families use the resources below to connect with your child's learning.
