The Liberty Ledger: February 2, 2022

The Liberty Ledger

Providing students and parents with important updates and report of events happening at LMS.

Black History Month

February is Black History Month which is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Students will have the opportunity to participate in black history trivia throughout the month with prizes being awarded to each winner.  Please take some time to explore both pages of On This Day in February to learn about some notable moments in black history.  The books linked in the calendar are just a few of the many that can be found in our school library or on MackinVIA (ebooks/audiobooks).  Click on each day of the month to find a new fact!

Laptop Chargers

Please check with your student(s) to make sure they know where their school supplied laptop charger is. As we enter into the 2nd half of the year, it’s very important every student is charging their laptop each night. If they’ve lost/misplaced their charger a new one needs to be purchased for $23. You can pay for the replacement via  MySchoolBucks or via cash/check made out to Liberty Middle School. Please have your student(s) go to B112 and see Lisa Basta for a replacement charger.

From our Korean Family Liaison

My name is Jinyoon Bae and I am a new Korean Family Liaison at Liberty. I am so glad and excited to start this new journey!

If you want to receive emails in Korean with updates of important dates and events happening in Liberty, please click the following link and fill out the quick form. For those who complete the form, I will be sending out emails in Korean once a month regularly and once there are important updates and events in Liberty. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jbae@fcps.edu!
