COVID Weekly Update
Every week, we will provide an update on our COVID-19 status to keep you informed. In cooperation with the Fairfax County Health Department we have identified more than one student at Bonnie Brae who has reported testing positive for COVID-19 during the week of January 30 - February 4.
FCPS also maintains a Covid-19 dashboard that is updated daily with cases from the school and division level. Parents interested in following specific numbers at Bonnie Brae can refer to the COVID-19 Dashboard on the FCPS website to keep you informed and aware throughout the week. If you have any questions about how we are staying safe so we can keep learning in person, please contact the BBES office at 703-321-3900.
We all play a part in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Positivity Project
We continue to work to empower students to build positive relationships through the Positivity Project. For the next week, the focus will be on Humility.
You do not seek the spotlight. You let your actions speak for themselves.
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” -Ernest Hemingway

National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week 2022 (#NSCW22) is Feb. 7-11, 2022, to focus on the unique contribution of school counselors. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career. We are so grateful to our two amazing school counselors at Bonnie Brae- Lisa Jeffries (K-2 School Counselor) and Laura Kaniewski (3-6 School Counselor). Their hard work and dedication to our Scotties is felt across the school and we are so lucky to have them!

After-School Program Opportunity
We have received a lot of interest in our Extended School Day activities! Please remember all permission forms are due by Monday, February 7th. While we will do our best to accommodate interested students, we cannot guarantee a spot for everyone. The families of students randomly selected to participate in an activity will be notified by February 11th. If your family does not receive an email confirming your child’s participation, your child was not selected in our lottery. We are thrilled to be able to bring the activities to Bonnie Brae and we hope to be able to offer additional opportunities again in the near future.
