HES FUN RUN - February 11, 2022

In just 4 weeks, we’ll kick off our HES Fun Run on 2/11! Our goal is to raise $15,000 for an enclosed play space on our playground and to strengthen our school community.

This year more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now.

You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at mybooster.com. Sharing IS supporting! All students will participate in the HES Fun Run, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.

Key dates to remember:

  • REGISTRATION & DONATING OPENS - 1/28
  • Fundraiser Kickoff - 2/11

Event Day - 2/22

Cold Weather Safety at HES

Dear Parents,
The cold weather is here and now that we are back in school, we want to remind you to make sure your children are well prepared to be out in the cold.

Students will continue to have recess, stand at the bus stops, walk to and from school, and even go out for fire drills. Make sure students come to school with warm jackets, gloves/mittens, and hats. You may even send in an extra pair of boots, socks, or even a change of clothes to keep in their cubby.

For detailed information regarding wind chills, please click here.

HES Lost and Found

Herndon ES has a lost and found and it is overflowing! If your child is missing something, please ask them to check or feel free to stop by and look.
