Franklin Families and Students,
We got off to a great start to the 3rd quarter this week. As our students started new elective classes for the second semester, it was energizing to witness the renewed focus on strong relationships and positive classroom communities. Our students got to connect with their new teachers and they began to learn the stories of their new classmates.
I would like to highlight a great opportunity next week for the families of our Rising 8th grade students. On Wednesday, February 2 at 6:00 PM, our Student Services team will be offering a Virtual Town Hall about the Academic Advising process. Our Rising 8th Grade families will have the opportunity to learn more about the course selection procedures for 8th grade, including new course offerings for the 2022-23 school year. A Zoom link for this meeting will be sent out to all families on Wednesday morning.
In the meantime, families are encouraged to view the online course catalog on our school website. Our Rising 9th grade families can also learn more about the offerings of from Oakton High School and Chantilly High School. Don’t hesitate to reach out to your student’s counselor with any questions. We are here to support you.
Finally, we would like to thank our awesome PTA for the Franklin Falcon water bottles that all of our students received during 8th period today. We are grateful to have the support of this amazing organization. THANK YOU!
Always feel free to contact me directly a dpwright@fcps.edu if there is anything we can do to support your student or your family.
Best wishes for an enjoyable weekend.
Sincerely,
Dustin Wright
Principal
