Dear Franklin Sherman Families,

Thank you for your patience and support during our first virtual snow day.  If your child experienced difficulty signing on, please be sure to let the teacher know so that we can problem solve the situation to prepare for any future virtual days.  Please be sure your child returns their laptop and charger tomorrow when they return to school.  I personally am hoping that winter weather will move along soon!

Please join us at our PTA meeting this week.  As at all meetings, I am available to answer any questions you may have.

I know that you have received several messages from FCPS over the past few days.  If you have questions regarding our masking policies, I encourage you to attend the Town Hall this evening.  Here's the information regarding this meeting.

Community Town Hall, 1/24, 7 p.m.

Many of our families and employees have questions about how the Governor’s Executive Order regarding masking will impact FCPS. Please join us on Zoom for a virtual town hall on Monday, January 24, from 7-8 p.m., for a conversation on this important topic. Superintendent Scott Brabrand; Michelle Boyd, assistant superintendent, Special Services; and a guest from the medical community will answer questions and share information. The event will also be streamed on Facebook Live. Language interpretation services will be available in Arabic, Korean, Spanish, and American Sign Language. Please register to attend and know that FCPS remains committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our students and staff.

You are always invited to reach out to me with questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Quigley

Principal

These will remain  a possibility for the remainder of the school year.  We had very high attendance for our first Virtual Snow day!

We can not do it without the help of our families.

  • Report problems by using the links links or contact numbers listed at the bottom of the Technology Support for Families page
  • Visit the Franklin Sherman Virtual Snow Day page for more information
  • If you do not require your child in grades K-2 at Franklin Sherman to carry an FCPS issued device home with them for potential Virtual Learning Days please respond to this survey (this option is not available for students in grades 3-6)
  • Make sure students return their device and charger to school on the very next in-person school day. Fully Charged!

Tech Adventure Camp
