A message from Principal, Amy Miller:

Dear Kilmer Families,

We are happy to share that After-School Activities will be back to the regular in-person schedule starting Tuesday, January 25! We are excited to be expanding our After-School offerings to include Voices of Now and Asian American youth Leadership Empowerment And Development’s (AALEAD). Please see below for additional information about these After-School offerings.

Please help us spread the word to future Kilmer Cougars that our Rising 7th Grade Curriculum Night virtual event will take place on Thursday, February 3 at 6:00 PM. We will be sending a link for the session directly to the families of Rising 7th graders.

I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend. Monday, January 24 is a student holiday. We are looking forward to a strong start to the second semester on Tuesday, January 25.

Sincerely, Amy Miller, Principal

Second Semester Schedules in SIS and Schoology

Semester two schedules will be visible in SIS StudentVue and SIS ParentVue on Friday. January 21 at 6. Schedules are visible under the classes tab. Semester two elective classes will have S2 next to the course name. On Tuesday, January 25, students will begin their second semester classes.

Students will have access to these new semester classes in Schoology as well. Please make sure students look for the “semester 2” label on the course tile in their “My Courses” dropdown. ALL students will need to look for their NEW semester 2 Health and PE course. Semester 1 health and PE Courses are no longer active. If you are in two year long electives (for example, Spanish 1 and Orchestra), health and PE will be your only new class.

Students will be able to see semester 1 classes in Schoology until 1/27, but these classes are no longer active. After 1/27, semester 1 classes will no longer be visible in Schoology.

In a few instances, students may have more than 12 courses listed in Schoology. If this happens, a course might not show up on the tiled dropdown. Students can access the correct course by going to the “My Courses” link in the top right corner of the tiled dropdown. See this video for instructions on how to re-order and prioritize your courses.

Second Semester Lunch Schedule

The second semester lunch schedule is posted on the Kilmer Website and in Schoology in the Kilmer Information Folder. Students can identify what lunch they are assigned by their 5th period teacher on Green Days and their 6th period teacher on blue days. This schedule will also be posted outside the cafeteria on Tuesday.

SIS ParentVue and SIS StudentVue Gradebook and Report Card Modules will be unavailable Thurs, Jan 20, 2022 @ 4pm until Sat, Jan 29, 2022 at 6am in order for teachers to finalize second quarter grades. After January 30, 2nd Quarter Report cards will be visible in SIS StudentVue and ParentVue. A copy of your child’s report card will also be mailed home the first week in February.
