WSES Schedule for Tomorrow, January 20:
Virtual Learning with a 2-Hour Early Release
Due to the weather forecast all Fairfax County Public Schools’ students will participate in virtual learning tomorrow, January 20. Students will have synchronous (teacher-led) instruction. Our instructional day will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 1:15 p.m. Students should log on to Schoology and enter the appropriate course and Zoom session at that time.
The previously scheduled early dismissal will remain in effect. Students will be dismissed from virtual instruction two hours early; please see the WSES schedule below and on our website.
We will ensure students take home their devices this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow's virtual learning.
At home, we ask that you do a few simple things that will make tomorrow's virtual learning day run smoothly:
- Make sure students bring their device home and be sure the device is charged.
- Review the Student Technology Readiness Checklist with your child and complete all the at-home readiness steps.
- Remind your child that the inclement weather virtual learning day schedule begins at 10:30 a.m. so they can check their devices and make sure they are able to log in properly.
- Remind your child that attendance will be taken on inclement weather virtual learning days.
Thank you for your help in making tomorrow's virtual learning day a successful one for your child. Please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher with any specific questions.
