1/5 RRMS Kiss and Ride Reminders

Student Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures:

Rocky Run Families,

Happy New Year!  With more frequent inclement weather and colder temperatures, we see an increase in use of our traffic circle for drop off and pick up.  We need your assistance to ensure students arrive safely and on time to school.

Please review the video and reminders below and allow extra time for drop off in the mornings.

  • Kiss and Ride Video
  • Students may be dropped off as early as 7:05 and will be permitted to enter the building no later than 7:10 AM
  • Do not park in the Kiss and Ride Loop or parking lot
  • Be on time for school! Students who arrive to class after the 7:30 AM bell will be marked as unexcused tardy.
  • Students who are designated as walkers (by office of Transportation) are encouraged to walk, bike, scooter or skateboard to school daily.
  • Students who are assigned a bus are encouraged to ride the bus to and from school.  We do recognize there are currently bus route interruptions due to weather and the Covid surge.
  • Please follow the directions of the staff members who are outside to ensure Kiss and Ride pick up and drop off runs smoothly. When you follow the signs and directions of staff and are accustomed to how the circle works, it is an efficient process.
  • Please do not drop your student off on the side of the roadway or in the circle off of Poplar Tree Road.

  • Do not make u-turns when not allowed, only make a left turn into the 2nd entrance from Poplar Tree.

  • Please be observant and listen to the directions given by staff/crossing guard. Students are directed to cross intersections in groups as a safety measure.

We are so grateful for your partnership and support as we return to school for the remainder of the 21-22 school year.
