Welcome Mrs. Goss: Acting Assistant Principal

Lemon Road is excited to welcome Mrs. Miranda Goss as Acting Assistant Principal at Lemon Road Elementary beginning tomorrow, January 6th.  Mrs. Goss is currently a teacher at Stenwood Elementary School who completed her Administration and Supervision endorsement through the University of Virginia in 2020 and plans to pursue school administration in the future.  Mrs. Goss has been a teacher in FCPS since 2013 and has been a part of several elementary school communities.

Mrs. Goss is anticipating to return to Stenwood Elementary School in mid-February when the next Assistant Principal is named at Lemon Road.

Lemon Road is excited to have Mrs. Goss on staff and appreciates the partnership with Stenwood Elementary and Region 2 leadership to create this opportunity.

Input Towards AP Selection Process

Lemon Road is collaborating with the Region 2 Office and Human Resources to hire our next official Assistant Principal.  We are seeking input from staff, parents, and the community using this google form.  The last question of the survey allows the person completing the form to volunteer to be on the AP interview panel taking place on January 24.  The virtual panel is scheduled from 8 AM – 4 PM, however participants will be asked to participate from a private space at Lemon Road.  The google form will accept input until Sunday, January 9th at noon. Those selected for the panel will be notified by the end of next week.

P2: Optimism

Optimism

You expect the best from the future and work to achieve it.  Hope and optimism represent a state of hopefulness and confidence about the future (both short and long term).  People with this strength are future oriented. They have a positive vision of what the future holds and maintain confidence that they will get there. They keep a positive attitude despite setbacks – and often find ways to convert what seems like an obstacle into a stepping-stone to
achieve their goals.
