All Fairfax County public schools will be closed tomorrow, January 5, 2022. In-person and virtual learning are canceled. School offices will open two hours late. Central offices will open at 10 a.m.
The following activities in schools and on school grounds are canceled:
- extracurricular activities
- interscholastic contests
- team practices
- field trips
- middle school after-school programs
- professional learning and training courses
- Adult and Community Education (ACE) classes
- Adult High School and GED
- recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS
School age child care (SACC) centers are closed.
WEEKLY MEAL DISTRIBUTION
Weekly meal kit distribution will be done at the regular locations from 10:30 - 11:30 on Thursday, January 6.
COVID TESTING
Decisions around access to FCPS COVID-19 testing sites will be finalized tomorrow morning, and will be dependent on conditions. Please check the testing web page for updates to the schedule.
