Virtual Cooking Class for Kids!

The HMS PTA presents the "Healthy Kids Virtual Cooking Class" on February 6th at 3pm

Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, HMS students are invited to join local chef, Sam Rosko, to learn kitchen basics and cooking skills - all from the comfort of their own kitchen! Each student that registers will be gifted a cooking kit with bake wear, a cookbook, and more. REGISTER NOW HERE! 

Details:

  • A parent must be at home for the duration of the class and available to oversee all activities in the kitchen. 
  • An ingredient list will be emailed out two weeks prior. If a student needs help with the cost of ingredients, please contact president@hmspta.com.
  • The class capacity is the first 50 students to enroll. A confirmation of enrollment will be emailed.
  • You must provide a personal email address - student FCPS Gmail email addresses cannot be used.

District Choir participants

Congratulations to the following choir members for being chosen to represent HMS in the All-District 12 Middle School Honors Choir: Cara Ethington, Allie Blanchet, Lily Runz, Laila Tomhave, Mazzy Johnston, Lauren Runz, Taylor Baker, and alternate Allie Landrum! Along with other schools' District 12 Honors Choir participants, they will perform at Washington-Liberty HS on February 12 at 1:00pm under the direction of a guest conductor. Congratulations!
