Did You Know...
The Surgeon General issued a public health advisory on the mental health challenges our youth are facing. The Surgeon General states, “Our obligation to act is not just medical—it’s moral. I believe that, coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have an unprecedented opportunity as a country to rebuild in a way that refocuses our identity and common values, puts people first, and strengthens our connections to each other.” Here is the full 53 page advisory.
Spirit Week
SENIORS - 7th Semester Grades reported to Colleges on Wed, Feb 2
Langley High School sends out mid-year grades (officially called 7th semester grades) to any college a student has submitted a transcript request on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Due to processing timelines, please know that there are no exceptions to this date. Any questions can be directed to Transcript Assistant, Ms. Laura Skeen at lsskeen@fcps.edu.

SIS System Updates
To support the SIS upgrade over Winter Break, SIS, ParentVUE, and StudentVUE will be unavailable for all users from Friday, December 17 at 5:00 p.m. until Wednesday, December 22 at 6:00 a.m. for system updates.
FCPS Student Laptops
Please encourage your student to fully charge their FCPS laptop every night and use this laptop daily in school. FCPS student laptops are sent weekly updates and are forced to restart to receive the updates. A FCPS laptop that is not frequently used may be several updates and forced restarts behind and may experience issues when it is used again. Any student that is experiencing an issue with an FCPS laptop or application can find more information on support here.
Lost and Found
Missing a jacket, sweatshirt, lunchbox and/or water bottle? It may be in Langley’s very large lost & found collection. Please stop by the lost and found box located in the cafeteria no later than December 17th.
Items in lost and found will be donated after December 17th.

January 31st at 7:00 pm at LHS. Author, Jeff Selingo with discuss his book "Who Gets In and Why". Jeff, did a lot of the research for his book right here at Langley!
Juniors Save the Date!
February 10th at 6:30 pm ay LHS is our Junior Class Dinner fundraiser featuring “College Night”, presented by Hannah Wolff. Hannah has invited several college representatives to talk about their entrance processes.
