Happy Weekend West Potomac
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. As winter break approaches, we will be entering the half way mark for second quarter. This will be a good benchmark to check in with your child on how they are doing in school and how they are doing personally. We are here to support you and our students so please feel free to reach out to teachers, counselors and administrators if you have any concerns.
In an effort to maintain a safe campus, we want to remind you and our students that ordering food from a food delivery service is not permissible. We cannot have multiple cars and people on campus who have not gone through the process of checking in through our visitor management system. Frankly, we do not know who any of these people are and what they could be delivering to our students. This is a definite safety and management issue that cannot continue. We will begin monitoring cars that are entering campus by closing the Springbank driveway entrance (not the exit) and having security monitor the Gym driveway entrance during lunches (11:30-1:30) daily. Essentially there will be only one way entry to our campus during lunches so that we can monitor the traffic and visitors. In the meantime, if deliveries are made or if students have delivered food, the food will be confiscated by security and administration. School lunch is free this year for all students.
Have a great weekend!
Ms Millard
