GBW 6th Graders Take 2nd Place in the First Lego League Regional Competition!
Congratulations to "Levengers", our very own GBW students, shown in picture above, who have advanced to the State Competition!
What is FIRST® LEGO® League?
FIRST® LEGO® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today's students and teachers build a better future together.
Our three divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.

Sub and Save the Day!
FCPS needs substitute teachers. Substitute teaching is a great opportunity for stay-at-home parents, retirees, college students, and anyone who wants a flexible work schedule. You can set parameters for the days you are available, the grade levels you would like to teach, or the schools where you want to assist.
GBW is always looking for good substitutes!! Get more information about substitute teaching here.
Asha-Jyothi Event
Thank you Asha-Jyothi for helping us raise $1,113 at the recent 5K event! We are so grateful for all of your support of our community. #GBWpride
