Opportunities to Get Involved!
Can you believe we've already wrapped up the 1st quarter of the school year? This seems like the perfect time to show Island Creek Elementary faculty and staff that they are "Awesome to the Core!"
We would like to surprise faculty and staff with a Candy Apple Decorating Bar in the teacher's lounge. Please mark your items as "Attention to ICES PTA" when dropping them off at the main office. Items can be dropped off the week of November 15 - November 19. We'll set up the Candy Apple Decorating Bar on Monday, November 22, so we want to make sure to have the items in advance.

Holiday Drive
The Holidays are fast approaching, and many families are experiencing financial hardships.
Instead of our traditional Croc Pond, the Island Creek PTA is collecting gift card donations (from grocery stores such as Giant, Safeway, Walmart, and Target) to help Island Creek families in need. Our goal is to collect $3,000 to help support over 40 families in our community.
The holiday drive will also help provide a book for Island Creek students who would not otherwise be able to participate in our Book Fair to help encourage a love of reading!
If you would like to contribute, please drop off the gift cards to the Island Creek Front Office Staff by Friday, December 10. We prefer gift cards in $25 increments and ask that you consider giving several cards if you would like to donate more!
The PTA can accept monetary donations through Friday, December 10, via Paypal with “Holiday Drive” in the message field. Monetary donations will directly benefit our book initiative.
The Holiday Drive will be collecting donations between November 15 – December 10, 2021. We appreciate your support in helping to make this holiday season a bit more magical for Island Creek Elementary families in need.
Island Creek Elementary Night Out
Join your fellow Crocs at Flight Trampoline Park from 5 - 8 pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Purchase your tickets at Flight and mention Island Creek Elementary PTA. A portion of proceeds from both ticket sales and pizza orders will benefit the PTA.
2022-2023 Board Members
The PTA is seeking volunteers to serve on the 2022-2023 board. A majority of the current board will be reaching term limits for their current positions at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. Although most/all of the current board members will likely have a continued (but different) role in the PTA, we want to encourage new incoming board members to express interest now so we have plenty of time to transfer knowledge. We are urgently in need of a Treasurer candidate for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested in this position, please reply to islandcreekptapresident@gmail.com.
