Optional COVID-19 Screening Testing
Optional COVID-19 screening testing will begin the week of November 15 for students who are not fully vaccinated. FCPS is partnering with LongView International Technology Solutions, Inc. (LTS) to provide testing services for students.
Optional screening testing for Deer Park students will be on Thursdays from 1:15pm to 2:30pm. Staff at our school will work with all students to ensure they are scheduled to access COVID testing with LTS during the timeframe they are scheduled to be at our school.
One-time parent/legal guardian consent is required to begin COVID screening testing for a student to be tested at school. You may withdraw your consent for testing at any time. If you want your child to begin participating in COVID-19 screening testing, you must pre-register your child(ren) and provide consent using the LTS secure online portal.
If you do not want your child to participate in COVID-19 screening testing, no action is required. You will have the option each week to update your child’s vaccination and consent for testing.

Optional Immunization Record Update
Has your child been vaccinated? Parents may optionally provide students' vaccination records by providing acceptable documentation to the main office:
- copy of the student’s COVID immunization card
- copy of the VDH COVID-19 vaccination record
- student’s immunization record from their provider

PTA Fun Run Reward
Students in Ms. Arzt, Ms. Sims, Ms. Caine, Ms. Penley, Ms. Verazin, Ms. Meier, Ms. Washington, Ms. Swanson, Ms. Stewart, Ms. Folsom, Ms. Cooley, Ms. Morris, Ms. Muscar, Ms. Schneider and Ms. Heick's classes all raised at least $1,000 by class and were rewarded on Wednesday morning with an energetic Bucky Dance Party. So much fun was had by all!
We also had a visit from the Fairfax County K-9 Police unit!
 
Bookfair ends tomorrow!
Tomorrow is the last opportunity to purchase books from our bookfair which closes at 11:30 a.m.
You may send money with your student for one last purchasing opportunity.

Bucky's Thanksgiving BBQ Bash

Advanced Academic Programs Level IV Referral Deadline: December 15, 2021
Families of students in grades two through seven who are planning to refer for the AAP level IV program must submit referrals on or before December 15, 2021. No exceptions will be made to this referral deadline. Referrals as well as supplemental materials are due on or before December 15, 2021 to Mrs. Murray saguidicemur@fcps.edu

Food Truck Community Event |
Join us on Friday, December 3rd from 5-7pm for a fun Food Truck Community Event. We will be collecting toys during this time to benefit a shelter in Sterling, VA. The food truck, Panko Takos Grill, is available to purchase meals. The local, “Dancing Man” will be dancing and dressed as a snowman! Please join us!
