We celebrate America Recycles Day each year on November 15th. This year the Fairfax County Recycling Program is asking our friends to create a poster that celebrates the three Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Your design may be used on our website or even on a collection truck in the community to remind our neighbors of the simple things that they can do to protect our environment.
Designs can be made by hand or digitally, but all art should be original. Posters may be drawn on paper that is letter-size or larger (ledger-size, or 11x17 is best). Digital versions should be high resolution so that they can be enlarged.
By entering the DPWES America Recycles Day Poster Contest, you agree to abide by the rules, including allowing DPWES to reproduce submissions.
Please use the entry form to submit your artwork. Entries may be submitted electronically to recycling@fairfaxcounty.gov or brought to the Solid Waste Management Program office at the Fairfax County Government Center – Solid Waste Management Program 12000 Government Center Pkwy, Suite 458 Fairfax, VA 22035
You probably have questions. You can contact the Solid Waste Management Program’s Outreach and Engagement Team at 703-324-5230, TTY 711, or email recycling@fairfaxcounty.gov for more information.
