We hope you all had a great first quarter and enjoy your long weekend! Winter Sports seasons are right around the corner with tryouts coming up the week of November 8th. Remember you MUST register, turn in your physical, and turn in a copy of your vaccination card to the Activities Office before being allowed to participate in tryouts. Get your card in ASAP to be able to tryout the first day! You can email a picture of your vaccination card to Mr. Pacak at pmpacak@fcps.edu. Our Volleyball and Cross Country teams will be competing in their regional tournament and meet this week. Be sure to wish them luck! Check out the schedule below for the full schedule of our fall sports and off-season activities.
Congratulations to our Cheer, Field Hockey, Golf, and Football teams on a great fall season. We can’t wait to celebrate all of our fall athletes at our Fall Sports Banquet on the new date of November 16th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.

Congratulations to our Marching Atoms on an excellent season! They not only brought the energy and noise at our Football games this season, but they also brought home some serious hardware at their competitions. They earned a rating of Superior at their VBODA State Marching Band assessment today at Rock Ridge High School!

Atoms Club Highlight - Best Buddies
Are you interested in making new friendships and having some fun after school? Join the Annandale Atoms Best Buddies Club! Best Buddies is a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships for students with and without intellectual disabilities. Updated Vaccination Policy
Annandale Athletic Families,
COVID-19 screening testing for students, including student-athletes, will now begin November 15. The adjustment will allow FCPS and its contractors time to ensure all components, including the portals are up and running and staff are fully trained.
We also know many student-athletes are currently in the middle of their two-dose cycle and additional time for testing to begin will allow those students to complete their vaccinations. Students are eligible to try out for their sport if they have received one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In order to streamline the process for families who have to register multiple students, we’ve moved the start date for all student screening testing. We will share information about how to pre-register and provide consent for COVID-19 testing through a secure online portal shortly.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends school-based testing to limit the spread of COVID-19 and to keep schools open safely. FCPS will begin screening testing for staff on November 1 as originally scheduled.
