Did you know...

According to Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child, success is less about grades and extracurricular activities and more about a core set of skills to help children navigate life’s challenges as they grow. These core skills include planning, focus, self-control, awareness and flexibility.  Here is the full article.

Impact Aid Form

*PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD FOR THE IMPACT AID FORM HANDED OUT DURING 3RD PERIOD*

Impact Aid programs and grants are designed to assist local school districts that enroll federally connected students. During the month of October, the survey will be distributed to all FCPS families. Langley High School will send the survey form home with student’s on or after October 19th during Langley Links (Period 3). Please ask your child about the form and have them return it to their period 3 teacher once it is completed no later than Friday, November 5.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey by November 5. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the boxes in Section 3. FCPS staff will process the information with the utmost confidentiality. To ensure complete accuracy, please use the pre-filled survey form your child has received.

For questions regarding the Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid, please call email ImpactAid@fcps.edu. Additional information about Impact Aid programs and grants is available on the U.S. Department of Education's website at DoED Impact Aid Programs.

Action Requested: Help save trees and FCPS $$ on postage by opting in to receive “Paperless” Report Cards (that can be printed through ParentVUE)

Parents/Guardians may opt into “Go Paperless” for report cards by following the below instructions:

  • Parents/Guardians can take advantage of the paperless option, by logging into ParentVUE, then going to “My Account” and selecting "Go Paperless!". This is the only way to keep a paper report card from being generated for students at the secondary level. All parents who share the same address as the student must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option.
