Want early access to Progress Reports?

Progress reports will be viewable in ParentVue on Saturday, November 6, at 6am. To register for your own ParentVue account, simply go to: ParentVue Registration

Want to go paperless?

You can opt to “Go Paperless” in ParentVUE and receive only online report cards. This will not impact any other mailings from FCPS other than the report cards for secondary students and progress reports for ES students. To take advantage of the paperless options, parents and/or guardians* will need to log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless."

*All parents who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed report cards.

Vaccination Options for Children Ages 5-11

FCPS is collaborating with the Fairfax County Health Department, the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Inova Health System in its coordination of the anticipated vaccine rollout for ages 5-11.

The plan includes multiple opportunities to support different needs, ranging from community vaccination sites to targeted vaccination clinics in evenings and on weekends, and targeted vaccination clinics during the school day.

Learn more about the plan to roll out vaccination options for students aged 5-11 by watching a video of Dr. Brabrand’s presentation or viewing the PowerPoint presentation.

Safety at the Creek

In a continuous effort to maintain the safety of our students, staff, and greater community, Island Creek ES would like to share weekly tips and reminders about school safety. This week we would like to highlight the importance of safety during arrival and dismissal.

Some simple safety precautions parents can practice with their student(s) include:

  • We encourage you to use our designated Kiss and Ride area because it is monitored by staff.  If you use the bus lot for arrival or dismissal, you must park in an authorized parking space and walk your student to the front entrance.  We do not want students to cross the bus lot unsupervised.  Under no circumstances should you let your student run/walk across the bus parking lot.
  • Students should not be released from vehicles in the traffic lanes (not pulled to the curb while on Morning View).
  • Do not make U-turns on Morning View to drop students off or after dropping students off in front of the school.
  • Always use the crosswalk when crossing the street.
  • Students should not cross the bus parking lot, the sidewalk is a safe option.
