Dear Families,

In support of our commitment to safety, Clearview Elementary will begin optional COVID-19 screening testing of students the week of November 8

Routine testing is a highly recommended strategy to reduce COVID-19 transmission and keep our schools safe. Following recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 10% of students who are not fully vaccinated and have parent/guardian consent will be randomly selected for weekly testing.

Parent/guardian consent is required for students to be part of the testing pool. We will share more information about how to submit your child(ren)’s vaccination status and opt in to testing soon.

Test results will be kept confidential. Parents/guardians will be able to review results through the secure vendor portal. Parents/guardians may select an option to share their child’s test results with FCPS. Sharing results with FCPS is optional.

More information about COVID-19 testing in FCPS can be found on the FCPS website. As always, I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Have you met our Family Liaison?

Family Liaisons work in schools and in the community to provide information and support to all families.  Mrs. Romoleroux can help families to complete Free & Reduced Lunch applications, register for ParentVue accounts, and connect to resources in the community and at school.   Mrs. Romoleroux works with families to support students to ensure their academic success and social and emotional wellness.  She welcomes and orients families who are new to the school and community and assists families who are transitioning to a new school.  We are very fortunate to have Ms. Romoleroux at Clearview.

To schedule a virtual or in person appointment with Mrs. Romoleroux please contact her at 703-708-6053 or @ dgromoleroux@fcps.edu.

Thank You!

Thanks to all of those that came out to cheer for the Clearview 6th Graders last week at the Homecoming Parade! The float was fantastic; the 6th graders worked very hard on it and it showed! Special thanks to Johanna Smith and her team of volunteers, who made it all happen!

Another special thanks goes out to Weird Bros. Coffee, as they donated coffee for Clearview's latest Professional Development day. If you like freshly roasted coffee and pastries, please make a point of stopping by there and thanking them for making our staff feel special!
