FCPS Job Opportunities Substitute Teachers

FCPS values our substitutes. They are essential members of every school’s team. Please consider supporting our schools. Click here to learn more about the application process.

Daily Essentials

There is a high demand for additional masks during the day, please ensure your student has extra masks for after lunch and PE.

Additionally, students need to have a reusable water bottle to fill throughout the day. Water fountains are to be used as filling stations only throughout FCPS this year as part of the layered prevention strategy.

Weekly Progress Reports

Please sign up for Weekly Progress Reports via SIS ParentVUE. All parents/guardians of MS and HS students who have registered for a SIS ParentVUE Account and have a primary email address recorded in SIS ParentVUE can receive Weekly Progress Reports via email. This report provides a summary of your student(s) grades for the current quarter.

To activate the Weekly Progress Reports via email, login to your SIS ParentVUE Account and first verify that you have a primary email address within the system. It is listed under the “My Account” tab. If it is blank, enter the email address where you would like to receive the progress reports and click on update account. Once confirmed, parents/guardians are able to activate and select their preferences for receiving these reports within the SIS ParentVUE “My Account” tab.

Attendance Procedures

Attendance is critical to student success. The following information is provided in order for you to report absences to Kilmer Middle School. If your student needs to arrive late, leave early, or will miss class(es), please leave a message on the Kilmer Attendance Line at 703-846-8888 or complete the online form here

Survey for Federal Impact Aid

FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Survey for Federal Impact Aid. All forms must be signed and returned to your student’s PAWS Advisory class (4th period) by November 5. All results are confidential

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. More information is available online.
