Did you hear that the stork has visited a staff member of Vienna Elementary?
I am excited to share that on the morning of Friday, October 15th, the Montaquila’s welcomed a precious little girl into their family. Mom and baby are home and doing well. Big brother is helping to keep everyone on their toes! Mr. Montaquila is taking a few well-deserved days to be with his family and celebrating in the overwhelming bundle of joy. Congratulations to Mr. Montaquila and his family!

VES Spirit Day
The Student Council Association is sponsoring its first school-wide Spirit Day event on Friday, October 29th. All Students and staff are encouraged to dress as their favorite book and/or movie character. Students can use their creativity to come up with their costume design, but please no props or face coverings. We look forward to seeing all the book and movie inspiration come to life!

School Supply Drive
1st grade Daisy Girl Scout Troop 50208 is collecting school supplies through Wednesday, October 27th. The donations will benefit teachers and students of neighboring Mosaic (formerly known as Mosby Woods) Elementary School. They would greatly appreciate all or any of the following items in new/unused condition:
- Composition notebooks
- One subject spiral notebooks – wide ruled
- Child size scissors
- 8-count markers
- Inexpensive backpacks
Please bring your items and place them in the School Supply box in the VES lobby.

Advanced Academic Program Information Night - Second Meeting
Please join us on October 21st from 6:00-7:00pm for a virtual meeting where we will discuss screening and Identification for Level IV AAP services. This presentation will provide families with information about how current FCPS students are screened for Full-Time (also called Level four) AAP services. I hope to see you all there!
