Thomas A. Edison High School offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and the Diploma Programme (IB DP). The MYP is integrated into classes from grades 7 through 10 and the DP focuses on courses for junior and seniors.
This year, we are looking for parent/community feedback. Please complete the survey that best applies to you by October 22. Forty-three Edison students earned the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma during the 2020-21 school year. Three of these students earned a Bilingual Diploma, meaning they completed their world language study at the native speaker level. |

The IB Diploma Program (IB DP) is a two-year program for juniors and seniors that comprises the DP core curriculum and six subject groups. Students complete internal and external assessments as well as exams, community service, and a 4,000-word extended essay. The following students earned the full IB Diploma from the EHS Class of 2021:

As noted in last week’s News You Need to Know, by November 8, students who are 16 years or older are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a medical or religious exemption on file in order to participate in Virginia High School League (VHSL) winter and spring sports for the remainder of the 2021-22 school year.
The easiest way to submit the required forms is to email a picture or turn in a photocopy of the vaccination card to our athletic trainer, Tom Milosavich, at tjmilosavich@fcps.edu. Please include the student ID number in the email or on the photocopy.

Reflections Completion:
Great News! FCCPTA has extended their deadline for the Reflections program, therefore the EHS PTSA is extending our deadline as well. The new deadline is October 25th.
