Principal Message

Dear Marshall Road Families,

We hope you have enjoyed the long weekend.  Our staff had a very productive day as we plan for the rest of the 1st quarter and beyond.

Students enjoyed eating lunch outside at the picnic tables last week.  We will rotate different classes to the picnic tables and tent on a weekly basis as weather permits.  We plan to go out on chilly days so please send your children with a jacket.  We are glad to have this additional lunch space and have noticed the students like the change of scenery while social distancing.

Thank you so much to our wonderful PTA for planning a terrific morning of coffee and donuts and great company.  Pastry for Parents was a huge success.  We have learned a lot from this pandemic, outside events at MRES are a pleasure, especially when the weather cooperates.  Thank you for all your efforts to plan such a lovely morning. We look forward to the next outdoor event!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Heiges, Matt Chapman and Sue Kirby

Parent Parking

The front parking lot near Door #1 and the back parking lot near the field are designated for staff parking only and may not be used for student drop off or pick up.  Parents may park in the side parking lot near Door #7 and the Kiss & Ride parking lot.  This is especially important in the morning when bringing children to before school enrichment classes when staff members are arriving.

Picture Day Make-Up

Picture make-ups and retakes are scheduled for November 17 for students who missed Picture Day or who did not like to have their picture retaken.  Students having their picture retaken you will need to bring back their picture package. The photographer will try to get a better picture and reprint the same package for the parents.

Student and Parent Enrichment Opportunities

Registration is now open with exciting classes for both students and parents!

Virtual Fall Enrichment Opportunities – William & Mary

Lost & Found

We have a Lost & Found at the end of the main hallway just outside the cafeteria.  Please remind your child to stop by to take a look if they are missing a jacket, lunchbox, water bottle etc.  All unclaimed items will be donated the first week of November.  Be sure to label these items with your child’s name so that they can be returned easily if found by someone.

Student Rights and Responsibilities Document

The Student Rights and Responsibilities document explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable and supportive school environment.  Parents/Guardians can acknowledge receipt of the SR&R in ParentVue in your child’s SIS account or sign the Parent Signature Sheet to acknowledge that you have received this document.  Please e-sign through ParentVue or return the signed signature sheet to your child's school by October 29.

Parent Digital Resources Consent Form

In order to start using our digital tools at Marshall Road right away, we need your help!  To provide your parental consent for each student in your family, please follow this link and follow the provided directions. This can also be done from your ParentVue account when you log in.  Click here for more information.
