PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Oct. 19 & 20 - Hearing & Vision Screenings:

Leslie Grottle, Frost’s School Health Aide, is looking for volunteers to help with the annual 7th grade hearing and vision screenings on Tues. Oct. 19 and Wed. Oct. 20 during all PE classes. For each period on those two days, she needs 7 volunteers: 4 for the hearing screening and 3 for the vision screening. Bagels, coffee, and lunch will be provided for volunteers. Please review the Hearing/Vision Signup to volunteer. Thank you!

UPCOMING FUN, COMMUNITY EVENT - DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

A local nonprofit, Kids Give Back, (whose mission is to inspire the next generation of volunteer leaders by providing kids meaningful and fun volunteer opportunities) is hosting their first fundraiser on October 16th called, Costumes for Kids. At this fun event, kids will create Halloween candy bags for other kids in need, plus enjoy music, face painting, pumpkin painting, and more.

There are 3 ways Frost families can join the fun while also helping others in need:

  1. HALLOWEEN COSTUME DONATIONS: One of the big things this event needs help with is obtaining costume donations for students in need at Woodburn ES. Most costumes of interest are animals, kings, princes, and princesses that will fit students in grades K-3. The costumes are all based upon storybook characters. Here is the costume wish-list. All costume donations can be dropped off at Frost’s main office in a bag with the size and costume description included by Friday, October 8. Complete costumes, pieces of costumes, and/or used costumes all gratefully accepted.
  2. ATTEND Costumes for Kids: Join us! This event is a Kids Give Back fundraiser, and tickets are only $10 each for a great afternoon of volunteering and fall fun. AND, Frost Middle School’s very own Ms. J will be in attendance and hosting a Fake Wound table—and that’s a fabulous reason to attend! 😊
  3. VOLUNTEER: Kids Give Back is also looking for teen volunteers to assist with this fun, worthwhile event! So, grab a friend and come volunteer while having fun at the same time.
