LTES Celebrates Westfield! Thanks for iniviting us to the Homecoming Parade. Go Bulldogs!

Students Rights and Responsibilities

All FCPS schools are communities of people working and learning together.  We believe that everyone should be treated with respect and kindness (our rights).  We also believe that we need to take care of each other and get help if we see something dangerous (our responsibilities).

The Student Rights and Responsibilities document explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable and supportive school environment. We ask that you use this document as a framework for discussing these expectations with your child or teen so that he or she is well prepared for success when the school year begins. You will also find that this publication includes information that you may need throughout the school year, including contact numbers and other resources.

FCPS has created a video playlist that goes into further detail around key topics.  This playlist can be found here: https://www.fcps.edu/about-fcps/policies-regulations-and-notices/student-rights-and-responsibilities/video-and-resources.

Parents/Guardians can acknowledge receipt of the SR&R in ParentVue in your child’s SIS account or sign the Parent Signature Sheet to acknowledge that you have received this document. Please e-sign through ParentVue or return the signed signature sheet to your child's school by October 29, 2021.

If you need help activating your ParentVue Account, please call our school registrar, Carolyn Licastro at 703-227-5403.

Tuesday Folder Resources Available in Schoology

On Tuesdays, LTES sends home information flyers & announcements as well as student work in the Tuesday Folder. The Tuesday folder is one of the ways we communicate school-wide events and can be used as a way to communicate with your child's teacher. If you miss one of the flyers and need the information again, we also put that information in Schoology on our school page. Take a look at this short 3 minute video that shows How to Access our Tuesday Folder Resources on our LTES school page in Schoology.  Each step is in both English and Spanish! Thank you!

Overview of Advanced Academic Continuum

It is our goal to develop the strengths and talents of all students around the Towne. So, we provide the continuum of advanced academic services to students in order to meet those needs.

All students in grades K-6 have access to critical and creative thinking strategies and AAP curriculum lessons (level 1). Identified students in grades K-6 access AAP curriculum lessons in an area of academic strength  in addition to critical and creative thinking strategies (level 2). Identified students in grades 3-6 receive AAP curriculum lessons in more than one academic content area and meet with the Advanced Academic Resource Teacher (level 3). Identified students in grades 3-8 receive AAP curriculum lessons full-time in all content areas (level 4).

Please refer to the chart below or click here if more information is needed about Advanced Academic Services. Our Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, Mrs. Maddie Sirota is available to answer any questions you might have. Her email is masirota@fcps.edu.
