With clubs starting to meet, Field Hockey and Volleyball getting some big wins, and golf wrapping up their regular season, it was truly a great week for Annandale Athletics & Activities! As we look ahead to this week, be sure to check out the schedule below to see when you can support the Atoms at home.
We also want to invite you to our Homecoming Week kickoff event! This Friday, October 1st, we will be hosting the Annandale Homecoming Flag Football Tournament. The games begin at 7pm with Freshman taking on Seniors, and then the Juniors will take on the Sophomores. The night culminates in a championship game between the two winning classes! Shirts for your class will be available for purchase at the game for $5 and entry is also $5. Be sure to come out and support your class and kickoff Homecoming Week with this incredibly fun event.

Atoms Athletics Highlights
A HUGE shout out to our Varsity Volleyball team who won two games this week. On Monday night our ladies took down Park View in four sets and on Thursday they beat Mt. Vernon in three sets! Way to go Atoms!! Keep up the hard work.

Club Highlight: Atoms Writing Center
The Atoms Writing Center is officially open for the 2021-2022 school year! AWC tutors are students just like you who are able to help with your writing in any subject in a non-judgmental way. Until PRIDE Time begins, you can get help from AWC tutors in person in Room 274 on Wednesdays after school or during Red Day lunches or online on weekdays. Visit our website to sign up for an online or in-person tutoring conference (note that you must be logged in to a personal Gmail account to view our google site) You can also always stop by Room 274 or follow us on Twitter or Instagram @AtomsWC for more information. With the All-Season pass, you, your student, and/or your family will have free admission to all regular-season home games for every sport and your Family, Couple, and/or Individual membership packages include VIP parking for all home varsity football games.

COVID Reminders
Athletes and Parents - Every athlete must fill out the pre-activity form each day. Save the QR code to your phone. When you enter the building, you must wear a mask. Masks are not required for outdoor events. Please bring a 32 oz. water bottle to practices and games. Stay home when you feel sick. All Volleyball fans must wear a mask!

PTSA Wish List - Please Donate
The AHS PTSA Pantry has a back to school wish list for needed items for their distributions. Donations can be dropped off at school during business hours or at the PTSA table this Friday night at the football game. Come to the game to support our Atoms, support the pantry with a donation and learn more about the PTSA. Go Atoms!
