Virtual Back to School Night - Monday
Oak View thanks all families who attended last Monday's Back to School Night. We invite parents and guardians to make plans to join our virtual Back to School Night taking place tomorrow, Monday, September 20.
Our teachers will be using our Zoom platform and supporting content information about the class, grade level and school. Links will be emailed to families prior to scheduled presentation time and will be from Zoom.
Zoom will hold attendees in a waiting room until granted entry by the teacher. In order to support a cohesive presentation, please make every effort to arrive on time (or early) to the presentation as entry after the start time will only happen at designated points in the presentation to maintain content flow. Sessions will be recorded in case you cannot attend or are left in waiting room for a period of time.
The Back to School Night is listed below:
Monday, 9/20
5:30 PM - Kindergarten
6:30 PM - 2nd Grade
7:30 PM - 4th Grade

Seeking Additional Lunch Monitors - Join us at Oak View
Oak View has been actively training and hiring lunch monitors to support increasing safety during the lunch period. We are so appreciative of those community members who have already answered the call and signed up using the link below! With additional supervision, we have more flexible options to move our students to alternative locations for lunch and reduce the number of students eating inside the cafeteria. Creating this change allows for more space between students and the potential to pause fewer numbers of students from instruction. This is a promising next step in our continued focus on enhancing our practices to keep our students safe and attending school in-person.
Classroom Monitors will be hired for the hours 10:45 AM - 1:45 PM, Monday - Friday. If interested in being hired as a classroom monitor at Oak View, please complete this interest form.

Daily Symptom Check at Home
Thank you for your continued diligence in keeping your children home if they are sick or displaying any COVID-like symptoms. One of the most important prevention strategies guidelines is screening students daily for any signs of illness prior to leaving home for school. Any student who is ill or presents with COVID-like symptoms is to remain at home. The daily health screening questionnaire and all translated version can be found on our Health and Safety Guidance document at https://www.fcps.edu/return-school/health-and-safety-guidance-document. This document provides the details of the policies and protocols related to COVID-19, and it is continually updated to align with public health guidance as it evolves during the school year. Daily completion of the health screening is done on an honor basis and does not need to be sent to the school. More information is available here.
