Dear Seahawk Families,
We made it through Week 4! We did have some challenges this week, along with schools across the nation, with senseless and destructive vandalism in our bathrooms as part of a TikTok craze. Our Leadership students did piece on the morning announcements Friday to reinforce the expectations we have for conduct in our building. I appreciate their lending the student voice to addressing this disturbing and disruptive situation.
In good news, our COVID positive cases have settled down this past week. FCPS is instituting new expectations for teachers to provide additional supports for students impacted by COVID - look for more details next week about this.
Also, the Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) maintains a list of testing sites if you or someone you know needs COVID-19 testing resources . If families need additional help please reach out to Ms. Bethsy Vasquez, our Parent Liaison. Lastly, the process now for community COVID communication is a weekly notification letter if we have had cases. You will no longer get a notice for every case and if we have not had a case, no communication will be sent.
Please read on for important announcements about upcoming events and more.
