Tik Tok Challenge

It has come to our attention that a current trend has emerged on the social media platform TikTok, calling for students to vandalize schools and/or steal school property, then promote the acts under the tag, "Devious Licks." Unfortunately, schools across FCPS are being impacted, including here at Wakefield Forest ES. Some examples of these acts include vandalism to toilets and sinks in student bathrooms. Students who vandalize school property are violating the FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities and will face disciplinary action.

Thank you for talking to your child(ren) at home to reinforce the message that this is inappropriate behavior with serious consequences. We appreciate your support and we believe that working together, we can stop these destructive actions.

Updates to COVID 19 Reporting Guidelines

If a staff member or student tests positive for COVID 19 AND were on site within infectious period (48 hours of the onset of symptoms) notification will go out to the community each Friday. If there are no cases that meet this criteria, no notice will be sent.

If your child is identified as a close contact you will be notified as soon as possible. The close contact definition excludes students who were within 3-6 feet of an infected student if both the infected student and exposed student(s) correctly and consistently wore well-fitting masks the entire time.

COVID 19 Case Reporting is updated on this site daily. https://www.fcps.edu/return-school/fcps-confirmed-covid-19-case-reporting

Face Mask

Please Send Extra Masks with Students

Masks get dirty, ear elastic breaks: we understand that the mask a student wears to school in the morning may not last the whole day.  Please be sure to pack extra masks in your children's backpacks.  We do have extra child-size masks in the office but it saves time if students can simply replace a broken mask with one from their backpack.

Headphones Reminder

Please remember to send your child in with headphones if you have not already!

water bottles

Water bottles, please!

Many students are continuing to forget to bring water bottles to school.  Please make sure there is a water bottle in your child's backpack every day!

Students Rights and Responsibilities

The FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities document explains expectations for student behavior and adult responses to enhance school safety and to create a fair, equitable and supportive school environment. Parent/Guardians can acknowledge receipt of the SR&R in ParentVue in your child’s SIS account or sign the Parent Signature Sheet to acknowledge that you have received this document. If you have not done so already, please e-sign through ParentVue or return the signed signature sheet to your child's school by October 29, 2021.
