RAMS READ

Mondays during the Advisory Period

Rams READ is a time when the entire school stops to read choice material – books, magazines, newspapers, eBooks, etc. Choice reading is one of the most effective ways to improve students’ literacy skills! Please support RAMS READ time by encouraging your students to bring choice materials to school and participate during Rams Read.

MS Clubs & Activities

Please note: The start of late bus service and activities has been delayed indefinitely due to the shortage of bus drivers. Once enough drivers are secured, service will be provided on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays departing Robinson at 4:45pm. Late bus routes are posted in the sub school office windows and viewable in SIS. Stay tuned for updates!

Parent permission required: Submission of the Robinson MS Club & Activity form is needed before students begin staying after. Once submitted, students are welcome to stay for any scheduled activities.

Social Work Spotlight

By Kristen Licciardo, MSW, School Social Worker

What is Coping? We hear about coping skills or strategies all the time but what does it really mean and what might work for you?

Coping means to invest one's own conscious effort, to solve personal and interpersonal problems, in order to try to master, minimize or tolerate stress and conflict. The psychological coping mechanisms are commonly termed coping strategies or coping skills. Wikipedia

There are many different types of coping skills and everyone must find what works for them and their personal situation. Here is a great graphic with different types of coping strategies and ideas. (Thrive Treatment Center https://thrivetreatment.com/coping-skills-in-recovery/).
