To Do: Digital Resources Consent

Have you completed the digital resources consent for your Clermont children yet?

At Clermont, our teachers use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child will use this year require your consent before they can be accessed. Classes have begun working with some of these resources already. If you have not yet completed the digital resources consent, your child will be unable to participate in these activities. Please complete the digital resource consent at the following link as soon as possible. Link: Digital Resources Consent

You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: clermontes.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. Additionally, you can find more information about approved digital resources in FCPS here: https://www.fcps.edu/resources/technology/digital-resources.

Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.

Boosterthon is Here!

Character Building visits with the Booster Team started TODAY! These will lead up to the School Wide Fun Run on September 24th

Weekend Challenge: If a student receives a total of $2 per lap in new pledges (or $60 in flat donations) over the weekend, they’ll receive a special prize!

What is Fun Run you ask?

Clermont Elementary is hosting a fun, two-week fundraiser powered by the Booster team! Families will gather donations, while students experience a world-class character program and participate in the fun Clermont Fun Run event. Most will complete 30 to 35 laps at the big event during the school day on September 24th! While students will complete the event during the school day, we need your help to meet our $20.000 goal to raise money for STEM programs, expansion of outdoor seating areas and school wide enrichment programs.

Families can support Clermont Elementary by sharing their donation page with extended family and friends using the "share" button here on MyBooster.com. Every share and donation counts! Donations can be made as a gross donation or a per lap amount (approximately 30 laps total).

Throughout the program, students have fun and unique fundraising challenges from our Administration and the Booster team. Students will also be learning the power of curiosity, practice, confidence, humility, and endurance through the daily character theme videos. Families are invited to watch each character video on MyBooster.com!

Sign Up TODAY on: We are over halfway to our goal of $20,000!! If we raise $20,000 by the close of giving the whole school gets a dress as a superhero day! Plus, there are individual prizes from the Booster team. Plus, a newly added incentive! For the grade up raises the most money will receive a recess visit from some of your favorite mascots, the Nationals Racing Presidents!!

But what about Covid? Students will be participating in the Fun Run outdoors. Grades will come together and classes will be separated on their own tracks so they remain with their cohorts. If the weather doesn't cooperate we will complete a dance party within the student's classroom with their peers. All Booster staff that will be onsite are vaccinated and will be masked.
