Response to New TikTok Trend

Greetings Frost MS Families!

You may be aware that there is a current trend that has emerged on the social media platform TikTok calling for students to vandalize schools in several ways and promote the acts under the tag, "Devious Licks."

Along with many other schools throughout FCPS, we have experienced some vandalism at Frost MS over the past two days and ask for your support in helping to make sure our students are not engaging in this unacceptable behavior. We are especially concerned because students are damaging hand sanitizer stands and stealing soap dispensers from our bathrooms which presents a challenge to maintaining a healthy and safe school environment.

Our staff will be reminding our students that damaging school property is a violation of the FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities and will carry disciplinary consequences.

As a response to this behavior we will do the following:

  • Reiterate the expectation for students to go directly to class between transitions and arrive to every class on time.
  • Remind teachers to only allow one student out of a classroom at a time .
  • Require students to leave cell phones in the classroom when requesting to use the restroom.
  • Increase supervision of bathrooms throughout the school day.
  • Close certain bathrooms that have been particularly of concern.

Please remind your child not to engage in this type of behavior and to share information with a staff member if they hear of or witness an event.

Thank you for your continued support!
