BRING A WATER BOTTLE

Due to safety restrictions, we cannot use the school's water fountains in the traditional way, but our kiddos get thirsty, especially during the hot, humid weeks we've experienced.  We are using some fountains, sinks, and coolers for water refills.  Plans are underway to have new water bottle filling stations installed with the support of the PTA.

All of these methods require a re-usable water bottle.  We have given out over 100 bottles when students forgot them.  We have also given out commercial bottled water, when a student needs it.  If your child could come to school with a water bottle (labeled with their name), and try to keep track of it, we would be good "green" neighbors of the earth.  We'd prefer to re-use and not encourage a disposable community.  Thank you!.

Barksdale will be at Aldrin on Thursday, September 23, 2021 for Fall Picture Day.

An order flier was sent home in the Thursday Recorder of  September 2nd.   

If you'd like to order photos, please return your flier with payment no later than September 23rd.  There are opportunities to pay on-line using a credit card.  Please read the ordering information carefully (which you can see below and is posted to the Aldrin website).

All students will have their photos taken for the yearbook, even if you don't care to make a purchase. Barksdale practices social distancing and Covid mitigation strategies.

We need two (2) parent volunteers to help during Picture Day.  Barksdale will provide you with a $25 Barksdale gift card for helping during Picture Day.
