CogAT Testing

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) will be administered online at school to all grade 2-3 students.   Parents of 4th-6th graders can request ONE TIME retake opportunity. If you wish for your child to re-take the CogAt abilities test, please contact Mrs. An no later than September 15th .  Please use the email template below.   More information will be forthcoming regarding the test details.

AAP Parent Information Meetings

All Oak Hill families are invited to a virtual session about the Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) in FCPS on September 29th from 9:00-10:00.  This session will discuss the four levels of service for AAP as well some details about level IV Screening Process. Any interested families are welcome to attend.  Please continue to check News You Choose for additional details about this meeting.

 

Please note:  There will be another presentation in October dedicated specifically to the level IV screening process.  This session will go more in detail about how to start the referral process for level IV and optional documents that can be submitted.  This session will be for parents in grade 2-6 that wish to refer their children for level IV services for the 2022-2023 school year. 6th grade parents may opt to attend this session if they want their children in level IV services in middle school.

Fall Level IV Screening for New Oak Hill Families

Children that are new to Oak Hill beginning January 2021-present are eligible to apply for level IV fall screening.  More information will be presented at the September 29th meeting.  The referral form can be found here.  All fall referrals are due to Cathy Lahr , electronically/manually no later than October 7th.

Homeschool/Private School Families

Parents who are presenting homeschooling their children or have children in private school and wish to apply for level IV services for the 2022-2023 year will need to follow a separate screening process.  Additional information can be found here.
