Sangster News You Choose
Message from the Principal
Dear Sangster Families,
Happy end to the first week of school! Thank you so much to all of you for your flexibility, communication, and care while we have transitioned back to 5 days of in person learning. I know this transition has not been easy on all of our students and families. We want you to know that the entire staff at Sangster is dedicated to doing what we can to make sure our students are safe, happy, and ready to learn each day. Please continue to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions and as always, Mrs. Redford and I are available to talk.
I will continue to keep you updated with any health/safety guidelines as they are communicated to me.
Sincerely,
Allison Jankovich
Principal

Consent for Select Digital Resources
At Sangster Elementary, our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used.
You can find Sangster’s list of the digital resources that require parental consent here: https://sangsteres.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources.
You can find more information about approved digital resources in FCPS here: https://www.fcps.edu/resources/technology/digital-resources.
Included on our Sangster webpage is a link to the parent consent form where the enrolling parent/guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission. Please reach out to the school if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.
To provide your parental consent for each student in your family, please follow this link and follow the provided directions.
Emergency Care and Health Information Forms –
Please Complete ASAP in WeCare
As the school year begins, it is important that Emergency Care Forms and Health Forms for your student are updated as soon as possible.
Both of these forms are required for all students for SY 2021-22 and are available for electronic submission by parents within the WeCare@School module. Please find more information at the link below!
