Open House 3:15- 4:30PM (We are trying something NEW)
Mask Required Inside the Building
We invite parents and guardians to stop by classrooms to briefly meet teachers. Please note the start time - we will be dismissing school and getting the buses on the road until 3:05. We will not be able to accommodate those who arrive early so please plan accordingly. A few logistical notes:
- Parking: Parents are encouraged you to avoid the congestion in the stadium parking lot by parking in space available in the front lot, along the bus loop island in the front, in lower lot or at Langston Hughes when you arrive for Open House.
- Teacher locations: Please come with a list of your child’s teachers either through the ParentVue account accessible on your phone or have your child write down their classes. Since many of our teachers share rooms, some will be located in the cafeteria. A list of teacher locations will be shared on Friday and we will have a handout for parents.
- This is truly meant to be a quick meet and greet so you can associate faces with names. There is no presentation. The virtual Back To School Night (BTSN)will be similar to what was done last year in many schools. That will be an opportunity to learn more about the teacher and the class content. The release date for that is September 14th. Additionally, we will be hosting a parent information night with sessions on a variety of topics as well as a pep rally on 9/22!
- Tours: A group of student leaders will be available to provide a tour of the building during the Open House to parents who are interested. Please look for the “TOURS” sign near the ticket booth in the main hallway.
Block Party
Please join us after the Open House in the stadium parking lot for the annual SLHS Block Party from 4:30-6:30. Featuring food trucks, live music, games, and booths sponsored by various SLHS organizations and teams, the Block Party also is a great opportunity to get your Seahawk spirit wear from the Booster Club. There is no fee to get into the Block Party. Some groups will be selling items (cash) and the food trucks will have items for sale (typically cash and charge). We hope to see you there!
First Home Varsity Football Game – see Cheer, Dance and Marching Band too!
Come join the fun as we kick-off the official start of the football season Friday night at 7:00PM. Support of Cheerleaders on the sidelines along with Dance and Band who will be performing at half-time. Please note, students will not be permitted to bring backpacks into the stadium for games. We will have no place to store them if you do. Please leave all personal belongings at home.
Tickets:
The South Lakes Athletic Department is excited to share that we have a new digital ticketing system, eTIX. Tickets are now available online for our 2021 Fall season! To purchase tickets in advance, use this link (or the QR code below) to select the event for which you want tickets, then use your credit card information to purchase the number of tickets you want. You will receive a confirmation email for your purchase, and you will pull up that email on your phone to present to the ticket booth, scanning your ticket. This same procedure will also be used for those who wish to make credit card purchases for tickets at the gate on the day of the event.
Purchasing your ticket ahead of time will save you time at the gate. If you forget to purchase your tickets ahead of time we will have QR codes posted at the gate to scan and purchase your tickets on your phone.

Current Mask Requirement (8-25-21)– please plan ahead
While masks are not required outside for those who are vaccinated, we are expecting a crowd at the first home football game. We strongly encourage all fans, adults and students, to wear a mask if they are in close proximity to others.
